So with everyone having to 'Stay Home' what better time to inflate the Hydrus II than now.

Opening the box and unfolding it I can't help but admire the attention to detail that's gone into building it.

I knew from the start that the factory that built the Hydrus II also builds other VERY well known boats that are renowned for their quality and looking at all the fixings close up you can tell the Hydrus is no exception.

If it wasn't for the lockdown I'd be tempted to have it on the water by now myself but I'll save that pleasure for Oban who is eagerly waiting for the ban to lift so he can get his hands on it.

I'll be sure to do a full unbiased review of this boat soon but for now here are some sneaky peeks of the boat close up.

From start to finish the Hydrus II expected to be finished in six weeks was ready in just three weeks and has landed in the UK as I write this entry with an expected delivery date of March 28th. I've been checking the TNT shipping number watching its journey and am glad to say it's cleared customs and is very close to landing on my doorstep.

I was excited to see the first Hydrus arrive last year but this year I'm even more excited as the Hydrus II is my own unique design as well as colour scheme. Luckily the Coronavirus hasn't halted plans for this sample to be sent and production can take place for the next batch available to buy as soon as I've given the sample the once over.

Judging by the photos I'm sure you'll agree it looks pretty damn cool. Sadly this one I don't get to keep as it's been taken by Oban Jones who has big plans for it this summer. Be sure to follow Oban's adventures in the Facebook group as he aims to beat the whopper of a PB Bass he caught only a few months ago.

Reserve your Hydrus II now and take advantage of a bow canopy thrown in for free worth £140

One of the Facebook groups well known members is Oban Jones who last year had a night of fishing he'll never forget. Landing by far his personal best Bass that certainly had the Facebook angling groups talking, highlighting the success you can have fishing from a SIB. Check it out Oban has decided to make the new Hydrus II his next inflatable boat. With plans to go on 20 mile round trips fishing for shark and other big reef species where hes from in the South West UK as well as taking it to Norway, he's sure to have some great adventures along the way. He's planning to do some video blogging of his trips so I can't wait to see them. Good Luck Oban So this year, like last year I'm hoping the prototype Hydrus gets here as quick as possible so it can be tested, reviewed and then hopefully be the next batch of Hydrus II ready for the summer of 2020 Check out the photos of how its going to look with all the features including what looks like one of the best bow canopies around.
